This journey I've been on has required me to reconcile my past with myself. My life choices. Take responsibility for them and align my future choices more with my purpose and true life goals. That may sound like something out of a cliche self help novel, but it's basically me owning up to the idea that I'm actually in control of this ship. Things just don't happen to you, you have a hand in creating the world you live in. Change is born out of purpose, spiritual practice and discipline.
If this is hippie to you (believe me, it wasn't long ago this was VERY hippie to me) then you can just ignore this corner of the website until you get curious.
But just so you know, in this section of the website I'll talk about what I'm trying, where I'm failing and succeeding as I wade through the more esoteric life changes. It's apparent to me that health can't be earned solely in the gym or the grocery store. Your mental and spiritual (and by that I mean nothing religious at all) health are a piece that can't be ignored.
Ultimately this journey is yours. For myself I've come to realize that most of the huge mistakes (and there have been many of them) I've made have come from not being able to clearly identify my own values and feelings. I've been unaware of how I wanted to live my life, I'd never bothered to give it much thought. And that's all changed. Or should I say, is changing.
Recently I've been trying meditation and yoga as part of my practice of health. I'm excited to talk about them, but other life topics are of great interest to me, in particular occupational choices, our place in society and our attempts to live well in todays world. Here is where you'll find my thoughts on those subjects, I look forward to your comments.
